About the Typed Signature Generator

What is a Typed Signature?

A typed signature is your name rendered in a script or cursive font to look like a real handwritten signature. It's not a legally-binding e-signature in every context, but for the vast majority of everyday digital documents, emails, and forms it's perfectly sufficient — and it looks far more professional than just typing your name in Arial.

Common Use Cases

  • Adding a stylized signature image to your email footer gives it a personal touch that a typed name just doesn't. It takes a couple of minutes to set up and looks noticeably more polished.
  • For informal approvals on PDFs, Word documents, or Google Docs, a typed signature image works fine. Most people use it for internal acknowledgments, informal agreements, and documents that don't require a notary.
  • When an online form asks you to upload a signature image, having one saved and ready is a lot easier than drawing one on the spot or scanning something.
  • A stylized version of your name can also work as a personal watermark or logo on your creative work — illustrations, photos, writing, wherever you want a personal mark.

How to Create Your Signature

The whole process takes under a minute.

  • Type the text you want to turn into a signature — usually your name, but it can be anything.
  • Browse the font options and pick one that fits your style. There's a range of cursive, script, and professional styles to choose from.
  • Adjust the size and color. If you want it to match a brand color or look natural on a dark background, you've got full control there.
  • Download it as a PNG with a transparent background (the most versatile option), JPG, or WEBP — whichever format works for where you're using it.
