A Guide to Sudoku: The Logic Puzzle

The Challenge of Logic

Sudoku is pure logic in a 9x9 grid. The goal is straightforward: fill every row, every column, and every 3x3 box with the digits 1 through 9, with no repeats anywhere. No math involved — just deduction, patience, and the occasional happy accident when a row suddenly clicks into place.

How to Play Our Version

  • Pick a difficulty — Easy, Medium, Hard, or Expert — then hit "New Game" to get your puzzle. The pre-filled numbers are locked in; you can't change those.
  • Click any empty cell to select it, then type a number (1–9) from your keyboard. Changed your mind? Backspace or Delete clears it right out.
  • When you select a cell, its whole row, column, and 3x3 box highlight automatically — really handy for spotting conflicts without losing your place. Cells with the same number also light up, which helps more than you'd expect.
  • There's no separate "Check" button, so you won't get dinged mid-solve. Fill the whole board and the game tells you whether you've cracked it cleanly.
  • Stuck on a cell? The "Hint" button drops in one correct number for you. If you're completely at a wall, "Solve" fills in the entire solution — no shame in it.
  • Gone down a bad path? "Reset Board" wipes all your entries and takes you back to the original puzzle so you can start fresh.

Sharpen Your Mind

Sudoku is genuinely good for your brain — it builds focus, trains logical thinking, and there's real satisfaction in finishing a hard puzzle you've been wrestling with. And again, it's not about math. It's about spotting patterns. Give Expert mode a shot when you're feeling confident.
