Fair and Fun Random Selections

The Random Name Picker is basically a digital hat. You put names in, it picks one out. Simple as that. What it gives you over physically drawing names is transparency — everyone can see the list, everyone can watch the animation, and nobody can reasonably argue the result was rigged.

How to Use the Picker

• Type or paste your list of names into the text area, one name per line. You can have two names or two hundred — it doesn't matter.
• Click "Pick a Winner" when you're ready to go.
• The tool rapidly cycles through the names before landing on one. It's a small thing, but the suspense actually makes it more fun — especially if you're doing it in front of a group.
• Previous picks are saved in the "Recent Winners" list, so you've got a record of who's been chosen. Useful if you're running a series of draws and want to avoid repeating a name.
