About the QR Code Generator

What is a QR Code?

A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional barcode that can hold all sorts of information — text, URLs, contact details, you name it. Smartphones can read them almost instantly, which is what makes them such a useful bridge between something physical, like a poster or business card, and the digital world behind it.

Common Uses for QR Codes

  • In marketing and advertising, you can drop a QR code on a physical ad and link it straight to a product page, a promo video, or a limited-time offer — no typing required.
  • On a business card, a QR code lets people pull up your contact info instantly instead of typing it in by hand. It's a small thing, but people genuinely appreciate it.
  • For event ticketing, scannable QR codes at the door are now the standard. They're fast, easy to check, and don't require a paper printout.
  • Restaurant menus went contactless after 2020 and haven't really looked back. A table tent with a QR code is cheaper to update than reprinting menus every time a price changes.
  • For product information, you can link to a user manual, tutorial video, or full spec sheet without cluttering the packaging with walls of text.

How Our Generator Works

You've got full control over both the content and the look of your QR code.

  • Type or paste whatever you want to encode — a URL, plain text, a phone number, anything. The code generates immediately.
  • You can tweak the size to fit your use case and change both the foreground and background colors to match your brand. A white QR code on a dark background works just as well as the classic black-on-white, as long as the contrast is decent.
  • When you're done, download it as a PNG, SVG, or JPEG. SVG is the right choice if you're going to print it large — it scales without going blurry.
