Extracting only what matters

Sometimes you have a 50-page document but you only really need three of those pages. Maybe it's a long contract where you just need the signed signature page, or a massive manual where only one chapter is relevant. The Extract Pages mode lets you pull exactly what you need. Just type the page numbers (e.g., 1, 15, 22) and you'll get a single new PDF containing only those specific pages.

Dividing by ranges for better organization

The By Ranges mode is the way to go when you need to turn one file into several distinct sections. If you've scanned a whole year's worth of bank statements into one giant PDF, you can split it by month (e.g., 1-5, 6-10, 11-15). The tool will generate separate PDFs for each range and package them into a single ZIP file for you. It's a huge time-saver for archiving and filing.

Batch processing with "Every N Pages"

This is for the heavy lifting. If you have a document where every page (or every two pages) should be its own file, use Every N Pages. If you set it to 1, every single page in your PDF becomes an individual document. This is perfect for high-volume scanning workflows or when you need to distribute different pages of a form to different people.

Wait, where did the page numbers start?

One quick thing to remember: when you split a PDF, the page numbering in your new files starts back at 1. If you extract page 45 from a book, it becomes page 1 of your new document. This tool uses 1-based indexing in the input fields because that's what most people see when they look at their PDF viewer.
