What Media Studio covers
Media Studio brings audio and video compression plus format conversion into the same MyWebUtils interface. Instead of separate tools for each operation, this screen gives you one place to process common media files and download the result from the backend.
Compression vs conversion
Compression reduces file size while trying to keep quality at an acceptable level. Conversion changes the container or codec target so a file is easier to upload, share, or open in a specific workflow. In practice, people often compress before sharing and convert when compatibility matters more than raw size.
Useful guidance
- Choose preset-based compression first unless you specifically know the CRF or bitrate you want.
- Lower CRF usually means better video quality and a larger output file.
- Format conversion does not magically improve source quality; it mainly changes compatibility and delivery format.
- Processed files are stored temporarily by the backend, so download them before they expire.
