A Fun Guide to Flipping a Coin

The Ultimate 50/50 Decision Maker

Flipping a coin is one of the oldest ways to make a random two-way choice. For centuries it's settled disputes, started games, and broken ties when nobody could agree. This tool brings that same idea to your browser — no coin required, and with a much better animation than anything you'd get from your pocket change.

Not Just Heads or Tails!

"Heads" and "Tails" are the defaults, but you don't have to stick with them.

  • You can type anything onto either side of the coin. Trying to pick between pizza and tacos for dinner? Label the sides and flip. Can't decide between two project directions? Same idea. It turns a generic coin flip into something actually useful for the decision in front of you.
  • Clicking "Flip Coin" kicks off a 3D spin animation before it lands. It's satisfying in a way that just seeing "Heads" pop up on screen isn't.
  • There's a history log that tracks your recent flips. Handy if you're doing best-of-three, or if someone at the table wants to see the receipts.

When to Use It

Any time you're stuck between two options and neither is obviously better. Settling a friendly argument, deciding who goes first, picking a restaurant, figuring out which task to tackle — it works for all of it. Sometimes you just need something external to make the call so you can stop going back and forth.
